So, Kyle and I went on the Sex and the City Tour yesterday afternoon. Our first big touristy event. We start off at 3:00 on a bus filled with lots of women of course. lol. Our tour guide Stephanie was awesome! She was funny, sarcastic, cheesy and a bit raunchy at time. And she KNOWS her stuff! I am giving you the basics, because really it is inexpensive and worth the entire 3 hour tour.
Stephanie basically points out buildings as we ride in the tour bus, explaining what happened on the show there and then shows a clip so that you can see that building in the show. Our first stop where we get out is the Pleasure Chest. Yes folks, its a sex shop. :) We go in and look around. I think the best part is seeing the older women just giggle as they walk through.
Our next stop is a playground park. Apparently, a celebrity type hub in the Village. Also, home to Magnolia Bakery. Seriously, there was a line of people waiting to get into this bakery. They limit the number of cupcakes you can take as well. It's a bit ridiculous, but they don't make us wait for ours and it was truly the best cupcake I have ever ate in my entire life.
We hop back on the bus, and head around town some more. The last stop takes you to a pub. Where they have pink Cosmos ready for you when you arrive. Now, you do have to pay for these, but they are pretty yummy.
Then you head back and end up at Bryant Park, where the tents were still up from Fashion Week. Also, its only a block from Times' Square.
It was a very good tour and well worth it!
