The weekend in a nutshell......

Friday, had an interview in Manhattan. First time there and of all stations I got off of the subway, but Grand Central. It was beautiful but geez so many people. SO MANY PEOPLE! lol We decided to go out that night for the first time. We went to this bar called Excelsor. Way toooo pretentious for us, so after one beer we were out of there. We hop across the street to a place called Gingers. Yes it sounds like a strip club, and maybe with enough liquor it eventually does turn into one, but it was a lesbian bar. It has a Martha's kinda feel to it. Kinda old school, a pool table and nice garden area out back.

That is where we met some amazing and funny ladies. They were a blast, just talking the night away! It was a GREAT first time out on the town! and we were close enough we just walked home.

Saturday we got up and headed to IKEA to kinda map out the apt and get some pricing on everything. First time there, and never wanted to leave. 1. They have a shuttle just a few blocks from our place that picks us up for free and takes us there and back. Now how cool is that? And their kitchens are killer!!!! Basically we price some stuff but came home with a tv stand, coffee table, frying pan, can opener, 2 "green" bags to carry groceries in from the market, a bath mat and a door mat for $30. Now tell me you don't love IKEA now. lol

Saturday we went to the Brooklyn Bridge. I will post some pics it was gorgeous at night! Truly breathtaking and the Manhattan skyline.......mmmmmmm.

Sunday, was a chill day. We ended up going to Coney Island. Now, for the first time I saw white people. Please don't be offended by that, I love the fact that I, casper, am a minority where I live. It is neat to see another's take on that. So of course we had to get a dog from the famous Nathans, watched people play frisbee and volleyball on the beach, saw some cops on horses, and just enjoyed a nice relaxing day out.

Today is just a target day and I'm going to go to Kyle's school to visit the campus and see it. Nothing much, but I will try to keep this updated at least 2-3 times a week. Hope all is well with you!
