Attitudes are contagious, is yours worth catching?

Remember seeing those cheesy quotes in your schools as a young one? I am going to make this argument a non-religious one. If you want to argue religion and homosexuality with me, I am ready any day just let me know. This one is not from that perspective. Feel free to leave your comments. They are much appreciated.

1. Thank you IOWA for just putting it out there again. Prop 8 was a huge blow to equal rights, but you put some courage back into our fire.

2. Vermont, to be honest I hold a higher standard and feel slightly disappointed. You were the first out of the gate to break the mold then sat on your laurels until now? This should have happened a long time ago, but we are glad you are in it for the long haul now. Welcome to the game.

3. DC, baby steps are still steps.

Watch out for all of those H8ters out there. I hope you realize it's not about the demise of marriage or family. Straight people, take some ownership in this, you did it!
You broke the family by being greedy and having both parents work so much they leave nothing for the home.
You broke the family by using the television to bond instead of the dinner table.
You broke the family by living beyond your means.
You broke the family by drugging your children instead of disciplining them.

So when you go to the poll to vote no on equal marriage rights in what ever state you live in, no more excuses about how homosexuals will destroy families and should not be allowed to raise children. You have no more room to talk. It's time to fill your heart with love and allow everyone to do the same.

i especially liked this:

Ten Reasons Why Gay Marriage is WRONG

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
